What should I wear for our family session - any recommendations?
Think cozy, simple and true to you. Neutral tones, soft textures, and clothes you can move and snuggle in work beautifully. Avoid big logos or super bright colors, and aim for outfits that feel like they belong together without being too matchy - matchy. Bare feet are always welcome. Can I customize a photography package?
Yes, absolutely! I'm all about creating a session that fits you. Whether it's timing, location, or you want to schedule multiple sessions to capture different milestones - like a growing belly, a newborn snuggle, or a first birthday - we can customize a package to suit your needs. Just reach out and let's chat - I'd love to make something beautiful together.
How does the booking process work?
To secure your date, a 50% retainer is required at the time of booking. We'll schedule a quick call to align on your vision, preferences, and finalize the details. The remaining balance is due by the day of the shoot, and payments can be made via bank transfer or Venmo. After the session, you’ll receive a curated gallery where you can select the number of high-resolution images included in your package. Love more than you expected? No problem - additional images will be available for purchase so you can keep every moment that matters ($20 each).
Do you take bookings on weekends and vacation days?
Yes, I do take bookings on weekends and holidays; however, there is a $50 surcharge. As a mom of two little ones, I do my best to put family first, so this fee helps me balance my time while still being available for special requests.
Does my home have to be super clean and organized?
Absolutely not! We know that life with kids in NYC often means delightful chaos - tiny socks in unexpected places, snack trails, and impromptu pillow forts. Your home doesn’t need to be spotless for your session; in fact, we want to capture the real, cozy, love-filled mess of everyday life. These are the moments that make your story unique - and that’s exactly what we’re here to photograph.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
Your final gallery will be ready within 2 to 3 weeks after our session. I take time to carefully edit each image - adjusting light, color, and tone - to reflect the true feeling of the moment. This is different from retouching, which involves more detailed changes like skin smoothing or object removal. I focus on honest natural editing that celebrates the beauty of real life.
What’s you cancellation/rescheduling policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible. The 50% retainer is non-refundable, as it reserves your date and time. However, I’m happy to reschedule your session once at no additional cost if you give at least 48 hours’ notice. For cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice, a new retainer may be required to book a new date. I understand that life happens, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate where I can.
Do you offer discount for returning clients?
Yes! I truly value my returning clients, so I’m happy to offer a 10% discount as a thank-you for your continued support. It’s such a blessing to meet little ones after a maternity session or to come back and capture those first smiles, steps, and milestones - it means so much to grow with your family’s story.
Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes, I do! Just submit a request through my contact form specifying that this is for a gift.
